Here we are in the trenches of planning our next trip…..the Valley of the Kings…. otherwise known as the Loire Valley in France, bookended by fabulous days in Paris.
Yes we have changed our hotel choices 2-3 times since we first made reservations on line, fine tuning our choices as Jim and I negotiate our preferences in location and accommodation. Jim almost always pushes for a step more upscale than my original hotel pick. I secretly love this because we have stayed in some extraordinary hotels and I have the luxury of pointing out that my choice would have saved us money. The best of both worlds!
Since Jim is in charge of booking and finalizing our air and hotel and tour reservations, I am in charge of making my usual list of attractions (i.e. museums and chateaux) I would like to see along with the hours and days they are open. I really need to get to work on this as I’m falling way behind on my responsibilities!
